They are at greater risk for arthritis, kidney disease, cancer, diabetes and other serious medical conditions. We recommend twice yearly check ups and diagnostic screening to best detect these problems when they are treatable. Our specially trained doctors can offer medical and surgical care for avian and exotic pets. Counseling on proper nutrition and husbandry is often the most important service we can provide for these delicate pets. We provide in-house specialized diagnostics such as ultrasound imaging and video otoscopy. These allow our doctors to manage your pet's treatment in a timely manner with the the most detailed diagnosis possible. We are pleased to offer alternative methods of treatment. We have doctors trained in homeopathy, clinical nutrition, flower essence therapy, Traditonal Chinese Veterinary Medicine and acupuncture. Please visit our Holistic Care page for further details. The most common health problem in cats and dogs over the age of four is periodontal disease. Dental disease is painful for your pet and puts tremendous demands on your pet's liver, kidneys and heart. We offer preventive dental care, digital dental radiography and oral surgery to add years of quality to your pet's life. Class IV Laser Therapy Class IV Laser Therapy is widely used in human rehabilitation and is now available for your pets. It alleviates pain, reduces inflammation and accelerates healing. Numerous chronic and acute conditions respond to this treatment as pain and inflammation subside and healing occurs. Many arthritic pets benefit from this non-invasive approach.
