Meet the Doctors of South Arundel Veterinary Hospital

Francine K. RDr. Francine Rattnerattner, VMD, Hospital Director

Dr. Rattner grew up in Baltimore. Her passion to become a veterinarian was present as a young child. She had   many pets, among them dogs, cats, hamsters, turtles and a pet duck. After asking advice at a local feed store about why her pet duck, Jennifer, wouldn't lay eggs she found out Jennifer was actually a male! Caring for so many animals, she truly discovered and nurtured her love for them, no matter their shape or size, horses included. Once Dr. Rattner was able to read, she surrounded herself by every book she could get at the library about animals and veterinarians. She knew she would one day dedicate her life to caring for pets and the people who love them. Read more
